OWN Member and Grundtvig

OWN member Pauline Walshe travelled to Poland in April to take part in a life long learning workshop on Polish Crafts. An information session hosted by OWN last Summer prompted Pauline to look through the Grundtvig online catalogue and she chose three courses to apply for - one in the UK on gardening, one in Norway on Photography and Crafts in Poland. Pauline was luck enough to be offered all three workshops and finally chose the one in Poland.

Grundtvig Workshops enable adult learners to take part in learning events and seminars taking place in another European country participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme. They are fully funded workshops and to attend you must be an EU citizen over the age of 18.

Pauline will be writing a few notes about her experience for the OWN website so watch this space.

As OWN was the first organisation to be funded to host a workshop in Ireland it proved that there are endless possibiities to continue the life long learning process. Check OWN's workshop last June to read about the activities of the workshop http://www.ownireland.ie/campaigns_GrundtvigWorkshop2011
