Memories of Christmas Past
In Association with Golden Ireland and Hotel Westport

Whitewashed walls, killing the goose, wren boys, turkey markets – are these just some of your memories of Christmas past?
If so we would like to hear from you!
Golden Ireland is once again delighted to be running this competition in association with Hotel Westport (www.hotelwestport.ie). Last year we were inundated with stories that painted a nostalgic and heart-warming portrait of children growing up in an Ireland that was much poorer (though perhaps much happier) than it is today.
The winning entry will receive a superb prize of a Christmas holiday for two people from Friday, 23rd December to Tuesday, 27th December in the luxurious 4 star Hotel Westport. Prize includes an incredible line-up of food, drink and entertainment to the value of €1,150.* It will definitely be an unforgettable Christmas!
Entries should be between 300 and 600 words and can cover any topic relating to Christmas of old. A picture paints a thousand words so if you have any photos that you would like to share,
please include with your entry.
Closing date for entries is 18th December 2011. Please send to info@goldenireland.ie or post to: Golden Ireland Directory Ltd., 23B McKee Road, Dublin 11.
